    Svein Eriksen was seconded to CIDS in September 2014 from The Agency of Public Management and e-Government (Difi). Today Eriksen is an International Expert with the CIDS.
    Eriksen has a broad and varied experience from the Norwegian public administration and expert institutions in public administration. He has good knowledge of public administration systems in European states and particularly South Eastern European states. He worked full-time in Western Balkans countries since 2001 and in the 2004-2007 period headed a programme financed by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs which aimed to strengthen the decision-making capacity of governments of South-Eastern Europe.
    Eriksen is educated political scientist (University of Oslo, 1978), and has experience as visiting fellow in comparative public administration at the European University Institute, Florence (1988), and as lecturer in a master programme on European Integration and Public Administration Reform in Central and Eastern Europe managed jointly by, the University of Graz, the European Academy, Bolzano, and EIPA, Maastricht.
