    Per Christensen has a long carrier in the Norwegian Civil Service. He started in the Ministry of Defence in 1990, where he worked in the Resources Department and the Department for Finance and Governance. Christensen also has extensive experience from various assignments in NATO. From 1998 to 2002 he served as Resource Advisor to the Norwegian Delegation to NATO. He also represented Norway in the Investment Committee and in the Resource Planning and Policy Board, which is the senior advisory body to the North Atlantic Council on the management of all NATO resources. From 2012 to 2015 he was the Chairman of the Agency Supervisory Board of the NATO Support and Procurement Organization.

    Per Christensen is an economist by profession and he graduated from the University of Oslo in 1988. In 1997-98 he attended NATO Defence College in Rome.
